(Note: I’ve moved the plugin to a new location. More info below.)

I’ve been working for someone that have a problem about how he can disable or remove all the dates of his current WordPress posts. Actually he can do that manually, but the problem was that he had 1000 plus post already published. And doing it manually will really be a hard time for him. So, I decided to make a solution to this problem by developing a simple plugin that do all the task.

What is WP Post Date Remover?
This is a wordpress post date remover plugin which basically removes or hide date of a particular post or page in your wordpress blog. If you’re looking for a plugin that instantly removes your page or post’s date then this plugin will be the right solution so far.

  • Once activated, it instantly remove all of your Date of your posts and pages.
  • No more complicated or hard to understand option page.
  • Works almost on all of the existing Wordpress themes out there, including Thesis Template.
  • Removes date on Home page section, Post section, and Page section of your blog

If you feel that this WordPress plugin will help you as well, then you can freely download this plugin below.

Click here to download the plugin

(Note: I’ve moved the plugin to a new location. Thanks.)

If you have any questions, feature requests, or issues about this plugin, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment here. Thank you!

Oozman – thanks for the assist on this problem. I’ve tried looking for code to remove date and time, and couldn’t find even where to install the code. Appreciate the plugin, and best wishes to you!

Oozman April 2, 2011 at 11:05 pm

no problem Pikes. thanks for the kind words. if you have any questions, feel free to ask. :)

Bill December 26, 2011 at 12:07 pm

Where Can I find the Plugin??/

diane April 6, 2011 at 1:34 pm

i did install the plug-in, i did activate it, still don’t get a hold of it and still get date and time. any clues what to do?

and THANKS for the plug in, fabulous idea!

Oozman April 6, 2011 at 3:21 pm

hi Diane, can you send me a link to you blog which you’re using this plugin so that i can take a look?

besttentsforcamping April 6, 2011 at 7:07 pm

Oozman, thanks for great plug in. I had a hard time finding you as your plug in doesn’t pull up in WP, but I’ve found you now. Great and easy to use for a dummy like me. Thanks again.

Oozman April 11, 2011 at 1:50 pm

Great! I’m happy you find this plugin useful… :)

Paul G. April 12, 2011 at 4:43 pm

I tried to upload this plug in and this is the message that I got:

Incompatible Archive. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

Any idea what that means and how I correct it to upload the date remover plugin?

Oozman April 13, 2011 at 3:44 am

Hi Paul, can you unzip the plugin in your computer? If you do, you’ll see a folder named “wp-post-date-remover” which also contains a PHP file. Let me know if you’ve done it.

Paul G. April 13, 2011 at 11:41 pm

Yeah, I have the “wp-post-date-remover” folder. It opens in notepad.
Now what?

Oozman April 14, 2011 at 2:52 am

Can you upload that folder together with its contents, on your blog folder? Specifically at this directory path: “[YOUR BLOG DIRECTORY]/wp-content/plugins”

Once you’ve done that, you can go ahead on your Blog’s Plugins and activate “WP Post Date Remover”.

Hope that will work. Let me know if you have any questions, Paul G.

Paul G. April 14, 2011 at 4:20 am

I’m simply going to “plugin”, to “add new” and then “upload” and install and it does not work. Got the same message again that I sent you before.

I tried changing the directory address that you sent to /wp-content/plugins …. that did not work either.

One more try. Any other ideas?

Paul G. April 14, 2011 at 11:10 pm

No. This blog is not connected to FTP.

Oozman April 15, 2011 at 11:17 am

Can you try downloading the plugin here: http://www.speedyshare.com/files/27978717/wp-post-date-remover.zip

And upload it on your blog’s plugins….
Let me know if it works.

Paul G. April 16, 2011 at 7:54 pm

Speed share says … “File not found. It has been either deleted, or it never existed at all”.

Oozman April 17, 2011 at 3:45 am

I see, the link was expired already.
Anyway, I’ve sent you the file in your email, Paul.

Let me know if you got it and if it works fine.

Paul G. April 18, 2011 at 12:47 am

I got the email, download it, but was not able to upload the plugin to WP. I got the same message …. “Unpacking the package…

Incompatible Archive. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature.

For trying but I guess this is just not going to work.

Rufina April 27, 2011 at 4:19 am

The plugin works! However, can you get it to also remove the word ‘on’ [posted by (author's name) on]?

Also, can you make a plugin that also removes the author’s reference and the comment link above the post?

I’m trying to get my blog to look like a website, so I don’t want Posted by ____ on ____ 0 comments on top.

Oozman April 27, 2011 at 4:34 am

Thanks for dropping by. I’m glad that it works fine with you. Anyway regarding your request, actually, this is dependent on your blog’s theme… if you can let me know of your WP theme, I can help you out. ;)

Iwan April 28, 2011 at 2:55 pm

Hello Oozman can you send me the plugin please? to remove date and time.on home pages and pages

thank you

Oozman April 29, 2011 at 3:49 am

@Iwan: You can download it above. Hope that helps.

Gary May 3, 2011 at 4:48 pm

Hey- I uploaded and activated the plugin… where is it and how do you apply it to posts?

Oozman May 4, 2011 at 4:11 am

@Gary: It’s automatically applied to your posts. Did you see any changes?

Cindy Douglas May 7, 2011 at 7:04 pm

OOZMAN… you rock! This works great – thank you! Only problem I have now is I can’t get rid of the “Posted on by” on the index page. It only seems to show up there – any ideas? Thanks again, Cindy

Oozman May 7, 2011 at 7:24 pm

@Cindy: Thanks for the kind words. Glad it works for you. Regarding your query, this is possible, but the current solution is dependent on what WP theme you used. If you’re interested let me know, I can tweak the plugin for you to fit your needs. ;)

Laura November 4, 2011 at 11:45 pm

Great plug-in Oozman! So glad to have found it. I’m using the Wordpress theme TwentyEleven, which includes “Posted On”. Do you know of a way to remove this? Thanks very much!

Oozman November 9, 2011 at 5:19 am

Have you solved this Laura?

neal December 19, 2011 at 7:44 pm

Dear Oozman, Thanks very much for your plugin, it works great. Just as Laura described: I’m using the Wordpress theme TwentyEleven, which includes “Posted On”. Do you know of a way to remove this? Thanks very much! -N

neal December 20, 2011 at 1:19 pm

I removed it from line 567 of functions.php in twentyeleven theme folder

Cindy Douglas May 7, 2011 at 7:21 pm

Thanks Oozman! I figured the rest out by messing with the code found in loop.php. It worked. Thanks a bunch! Cindy

Oozman May 7, 2011 at 7:24 pm

@Cindy: Excellent! :)

Lindsey May 13, 2011 at 2:45 am

AWESOME! And easy to download, install etc…even for me. And that’s saying something. Thanks so much.

Oozman May 13, 2011 at 2:47 am

Thanks Lindsey. Hope you’ll find it useful.. ;)

HAFIEZ BIN ISMAIL May 17, 2011 at 6:52 am

Thanks so much. It works like a charm :D

Oozman May 17, 2011 at 7:09 am

Great! ;)

Amber May 19, 2011 at 2:22 pm

Oh! I can’t believe this worked. I’ve been researching a way to remove it all day, most of which involved changing code (yikes!) But you did it with a plugin! Thank you thank you thank you. :)

Oozman May 20, 2011 at 3:51 am

No problem Amber. ;)

Miha Mohoric May 25, 2011 at 12:04 pm

Plugin works for me fine.

Now I would like that in the same spot where the date was before there is a title.

Can anybody help me with that?

Oozman May 26, 2011 at 4:32 am

Glad that plugin works with you. Regarding your query, can you give me more information about it? I’m happy to help you out. TTYS! ;)

nehal May 26, 2011 at 12:55 pm

gonna try this plugin, i run a multisite network with 100s of themes, this makes life so much easier

thanks for the plugin

Oozman May 27, 2011 at 8:28 am

Great! Let me know how it goes…

Liz May 29, 2011 at 7:25 am

Thanks Oozman, I couldn’t find the date code in my editor, so this is great.
BUT I feel stoopid as I can’t tell if its working!
Will the dates be removed on the indexed posts when Gbot comes round again?

My posts are sales listing pages:
commercialicemaker dot info

But if you go to site:commercialicemaker dot info
you will see the indexed ones with the off-putting date as these are eBay auctions listings.

Oozman May 30, 2011 at 4:43 am

As you activate the plugin in your wordpress installation. This plugin will automatically delete or hide the date of your post.
Regarding Google Bot, yes, the date shouldn’t be available in your post anymore.

Let me know if you have questions. Feel free.

Alex June 3, 2011 at 3:07 pm

Great plugin Oozman thanks. I just used it on Revolution Code Blue theme and it worked perfectly.

Oozman June 3, 2011 at 11:02 pm

Thanks Alex! ;)

MAHESH KUMAR June 27, 2011 at 2:14 pm

Hi Oozman,
It still show like
“By MAHESH KUMAR (Edit) on ”

Is there any way to remove this line

Please do reply

Oozman June 30, 2011 at 4:03 am

It’s located on your theme…. let me know if you found it…

WaldoWindu June 29, 2011 at 10:43 pm

Very, Very Awesome!
Thank you SOMUCH! :)

Igor July 4, 2011 at 3:09 pm

Hello guys,

Why is so important to remove the date from blog post? Does is affect to post indexing or what? Could you explain, please?

Cory O July 9, 2011 at 2:43 am

Hi, oozman, this is nearly just what I’m looking for! Wow, what a great plug-in!

Is there a way to modify only posts in specific categories? I’m not familiar enough with the wordpress architecture to know for sure, but I have a category called “Featured” which I’d like to remove the dates from, but have the others remain.

Oozman July 9, 2011 at 3:04 am

Thanks Cory! At this moment, this is not yet supported on the plugin. But let me know, if you really want this feature. I can add it asap.

David Cardona May 16, 2012 at 1:05 pm

Hii Oozman!, I wonder, did you manage to work in this feature that only hides the date on specific categories? I need this for my site. Thanks!

Oozman August 22, 2012 at 12:35 am

not yet, sorry, i’ve been very busy for lots of cool stuffs.. but i think its time to get it done for you.

D Traver August 22, 2012 at 5:33 am

I would LOVE this feature as well!

Thomas October 17, 2012 at 9:48 am

Hi Oozman.

Great plugin!!

I would also love to only hide “date and time” on pages only. Hope you get the time do add this feature !! :D

Thanks man!

Derek July 15, 2011 at 1:41 am

Hey Oozman, I added your plugin and I’m getting…
“span.meta-sep { display:none; } span.author { display:none; }”
at the top of my single post on my home page. None of the author/date/category/comment headers are gone either. Am I missing something? Any suggestions?

Derek July 15, 2011 at 2:20 am

I figured out how to get rid of that odd bit of code. I’ve come to the conclusion your plugin doesn’t work with the Chameleon Theme from Elegant Themes. It’s too bad too because it looks like you got some gold here. Thanks anyway!

Oozman July 15, 2011 at 5:43 am

That’s great Derek… Anyway, it’s ok.. Thanks still for considering this plugin. But if you have any questions, feel free to ask me… ;)

Don July 23, 2011 at 11:53 pm

Oozman, I just installed it on a Socrates 2.215 site and it works fine EXCEPT “By admin on” still appears on all pages/posts. Is there a fix for this? Thank you very much… your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Don July 24, 2011 at 12:39 am

Hi Oozman,

Please disregard my comment. Just realized that Socrates has a built-in element. Nevertheless, your sharing of the plug-in deserves a lot of thanks!

Oozman July 25, 2011 at 10:55 am

Thanks Don. If you have questions, feel free to ask me. :)

Zame Right August 15, 2011 at 3:12 am

Hey, thanks for your plugin! It helped me a lot :)

Zame Right

Adam August 17, 2011 at 7:47 pm

Hello Oozman,
Great plugin. I’m using the twenty eleven theme and installed the plugin. It removes the date, but not the “Posted On”. Any suggestions how to get rid of that? Thanks

Oozman August 18, 2011 at 12:36 am

Actually, you can get rid of this “Posted on” manually on your theme… Let me know if you have more question(s)?

Rachel August 19, 2011 at 10:54 pm

Hey Oozman,
Thanks for the plugin! I finally got the date removed.

The only problem is there are still symbols that were between the date and time. I can’t seem to find the code to remove that.

RM August 21, 2011 at 9:27 pm

Awesome plugin! It worked great on my site!

ejannat August 22, 2011 at 8:44 pm

thanks! Oozman.. its works 4 me as well.. thanks bro

maria August 23, 2011 at 8:51 pm

Hi there, How can I manually remove the posted on by wording?

thank you

Oozman August 24, 2011 at 12:48 am

You can manually remove it on your template. Let me know if you have question(s)?

maria August 24, 2011 at 3:21 am

What do you mean on my template? I am not sure how to do that.

Oozman August 25, 2011 at 11:12 pm

Let me know what is your website… I’ll check what template are you using…

Rachel August 27, 2011 at 5:55 am

The plug-in worked great! Thanks :D

Now the only problem is that I can’t get rid of the “Posted on” stamp. Do you know how I can get rid of that? I’m using the twenty eleven template..

Oozman August 27, 2011 at 11:21 am

good to here… :)
If you can navigate to your template files then let me know, i can assist you…

Ben September 6, 2011 at 2:11 pm

Hey im using th twenty eleven theme, can you let me know how to remove the “Posted on” and also the “Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a reply”

Let me know as soon as possible buddy :)

Oozman September 7, 2011 at 3:11 am

you can go to you theme files, specifically this file:

and look for this highlighted code:

delete it and then save your file.

It should now delete the “Posted on” text. Let me know if you have some questions.

Ben September 7, 2011 at 11:17 am

I need further help, reallly quick please…

I have fucked up the functions.php file… x_x

This is not good, i have had to delete it as it would not let me login to WP-ADMIN, Do you have a spare function.php file?

Ben September 7, 2011 at 11:34 am

Ignore that buddy, i have solved it :D

Posted in Uncategorized | Tagged Rain Sounds

What is the code i need to delete to remove that? It is just for the post on th home page.

Really appreciate your help mate :) x

Ben September 7, 2011 at 11:58 am

PS to that one :)

can you have a page but not include it on the nav bar?

Oozman September 9, 2011 at 6:19 am

Hi Ben, sorry I’m a little bit busy right now… what do you mean? have you already solved it?

Ben September 9, 2011 at 2:38 pm

No problems, and okay, I have made a T&C and a privacy policy, they are pages, now i want them as pages but not in the navigation bar (uner the header image)

Theme: twenty eleven

Oozman September 10, 2011 at 11:34 pm

i believe you need a plugin for that or manually add those pages that needs to be hidden.

Kidney Stone Pain Center September 13, 2011 at 10:11 am

Hi Oozman
Just wanted to say great job with the plugin. Removing dates on posts makes them appear a bit more upto date. Great for older sites that have not been updated for a while. Keep up the good work my friend.

Oozman September 14, 2011 at 11:40 pm

Thanks glad you find it useful.

Ryan Even September 18, 2011 at 7:32 pm

Does this also remove the dates from the blog comments?

Kevin September 20, 2011 at 6:23 am

YOU DID IT!! I tried 3 plugins and yours worked without changing any code or looking for annoying options. Awesome oozman!

Oozman September 20, 2011 at 11:52 pm

Thank you. Glad you found it useful.

jarrod September 21, 2011 at 2:59 pm

I have used your comment that mentions removing the line of code from this screenshot: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/696/removepostedon.png/

now i get a error message:

I have also tried to put the php back to its original code and I still get the error message.

Im using the latest WP, I just set it up today

jarrod September 21, 2011 at 3:03 pm

my website is: http://www.rigadogsled.com

and the error message is

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<', expecting ')' in /home1/naughty4/public_html/rigadogsled/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/functions.php on line 562

any tips would be great!! cheers

Oozman September 23, 2011 at 9:24 am

did you change something on this page? i think there is wrong syntax with in it.

Oozman September 23, 2011 at 9:26 am

can you send me your functions.php file? i’m happy to help you out.

Benjamin Day September 23, 2011 at 2:45 am

Hey, thanks for helping me remove the date and time!
After installing your plugin, I have one question… there is now a dash in the place where date and time used to be. Is it easy to remove the dash? I poked around php file and it didn’t seem obvious. I’d just like it to be clean. Thanks!

Oozman September 23, 2011 at 9:27 am

yes, it can be removed. but it depends on your theme that you are using…

John Dee October 4, 2011 at 3:31 am

Hi Oozman. Great plugin but now there is a gap _ at _ left. I know this is completely dependent on the theme. I am using Heatmap. Can you tell me how to fix that? Would like to remove the gap with the at. Thanks.

Oozman October 4, 2011 at 3:33 am

It’s hard to check your theme because I don’t have a copy of it. But it is basically on your theme. either in functions.php or post.php. it depends on the theme that you have.

John Dee October 4, 2011 at 3:51 am

Oozman, I have the Heatmap theme. I can send you both files if that helps.

Red Zambala October 5, 2011 at 6:36 pm

Thanks, it removed date from all blog posts, BUT – left date in URL(link) :(

Oozman October 6, 2011 at 4:18 am

Unfortunately, this plugin won’t remove the date in your URL. I believe you can checkout “Permalinks” in your WP dashboard, this may help you remove dates on your URL.

Phyllis October 10, 2011 at 12:12 pm

Hi – I have desperately been trying to remove the date from my blog posts because I want more of a static website. I tried your plug in but got the following message Incompatible Archive. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

Any suggestions on how I might be able to make your plug in work with my Wordpress theme which is Big Feature 1.4 by Roger Grimstad. Many thanks in advance for your help! Phyllis

Oozman October 10, 2011 at 12:32 pm

hi, you can try extracting the contents of this plugin… and then manually upload it to your wordpress plugin folder… let me know if it works for you…

Phyllis October 10, 2011 at 1:15 pm

Brilliant!!!! it worked!!! Now do you know how I can remove the “| Comments Off” from showing up on each of my blogs?

Oozman October 10, 2011 at 1:34 pm

i cant really tell you how to remove this without looking in your theme’s structure. if you can send me a copy then it will be nice.

Phyllis October 10, 2011 at 1:58 pm

Arrgh – I stupidly selected the option of getting the upgraded version of your plug in and now it is no longer working. I get the message
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<' in /home/sites/thesecondbite.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/akismet/akismet.php on line 45 and I don't know how to go back to when it was working…

Oozman October 10, 2011 at 2:19 pm

hmm… I think it’s not on this plugin. try disabling then reenable your aksimet plugin…

Phyllis October 10, 2011 at 2:45 pm

Okay – I got it back now – phew. Now I just want to get rid of the words |comments off. Can you help me with this?

Oozman October 10, 2011 at 3:19 pm

if you can send me a copy of ur theme it will be easy for me to help you…

Phyllis October 11, 2011 at 9:22 am

The website is http://www.thesecondbite.co.uk.

thanks – Phyllis

Oozman October 11, 2011 at 9:30 am

Hi Phyllis, unfortunately, i can’t help you with this matter if I don’t have a physical copy of the theme your using . I can’t look at the code and try to fix it for you. But I think you can go to the seller of that theme, and ask how you can remove it.

Andry October 15, 2011 at 3:16 pm

Your plugin works. Thankyou very much.

My theme is Chip Zero. I want to remove category, author, comment, bellow the post title. Can you help me?
thanks before

Oozman October 16, 2011 at 12:32 am

This plugin is not intended to remove those texts.
Send me a zip file of your theme. Maybe I can help you.

Andry October 16, 2011 at 8:57 am

here is the theme zip download
i hope you can help me.

Thank you :D

Oozman October 16, 2011 at 9:32 am

Hi Andry, you can go to this path on your theme:

And look for the strings that you want to remove. And delete it.
Let me know if it works.

Andry October 16, 2011 at 10:26 am

Yes, I did. Thank you my friend.
Great luck for you

Sheriece October 17, 2011 at 3:12 pm

Is there a way to remove the date from “sticky” homepage post only?

Oozman October 18, 2011 at 11:27 pm

Yes, this is possible I believe.

I’ll be adding this feature on the plugin in a few days.

Pat October 26, 2011 at 9:43 pm

Sorry if you answered this already. Your plugin took out my dates but left in “by: (name) under: (category name) on: (blank)
Can I get rid of that last piece “ON” because there is no date anymore.

Oozman October 29, 2011 at 2:41 am

You can send me your Theme. I’ll dig it for you…

cosmin October 30, 2011 at 5:42 pm

thanks a lot, works great in wp 3.0!!

Oozman October 30, 2011 at 6:05 pm

Great. Thanks for checking it out.

Phil October 30, 2011 at 5:45 pm

Thank you very much! This plug-in is fabulous. I am using the twenty eleven theme and followed your instructions to remove the words “Posted on” in the functions.php file, which worked perfectly.

My only question, which someone else had also asked, is how to remove the words “Posted in Uncategorized” at the bottom of the post. I am using the post as a home page only because it allows me to use widgets and I cannot find out how to use widgets on a page with the twenty eleven theme. That would be another great plug-in.

Oozman October 30, 2011 at 6:07 pm

Actually, the only thing I can recommend is to manually dig your current theme files until you find “Posted in….” text. ;)

Phil October 30, 2011 at 7:19 pm

I got the words “Posted in” out. In content.php, I found the same code that you previously mentioned. Now, it only shows the category “uncategorized”. I just don’t know how to remove that.

Oozman October 31, 2011 at 2:29 am

Usually, the next code or characters next to “Posted in” will be the one who prints out “Uncategorized” string. This actually depends also, it may be “Some Category”… ;)

Deborah Hardnett November 3, 2011 at 2:43 pm

Hi Oozman,
Thanks for the great idea. I got an error message when I tried to upload. Any suggestions?

Unpacking the package…

Incompatible Archive. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

Oozman November 9, 2011 at 5:19 am

Hi Deborah, you can try extracting the plugin on your computer and then manually upload it to your wordpress “wp-content/plugins” folder.

Let me know if it works for you.

diane November 8, 2011 at 9:52 pm

Hi Oozman: Please disregard my question about removing comments etc. from my website. I hope that this has not caused an inconvenience for you.
Thank you

Oozman November 9, 2011 at 5:20 am

No problem Diane. Just feel free to ask me. ;)

Ken November 9, 2011 at 8:52 pm

Hi Oozman

You are one clever dude.

Works perfectly.

saki November 11, 2011 at 10:05 pm

This is almost perfect. If there was a way to toggle a post or post category to remove the post information instead of a blanket remove for all posts in all categories.

Would is be possible to create a settings menu or a checkbox on each post to toggle?

I’d pay for that!

Oozman November 12, 2011 at 5:52 am

we’ll try.. I have this plan. but unfortunately, I’m still busy doing some things. we’ll let you know once, I’ve made it already.

thanks by the way. ;)

String November 14, 2011 at 2:35 pm

Hi Oozman,

This is a great plugin. Thank you. However, can you help me in removing the “posted on”? its not really the word posted on but in my theme its a calendar icon. Hope to get a reply. Thanks

Oozman November 14, 2011 at 10:21 pm

Thanks! Tried changing code, tried other plugins…none of it was removing the date from the chosen theme on one of the websites I set up. This one worked a treat though and was very simple to use!

DPAM December 6, 2011 at 5:16 am

Ok if your having trouble with this plug in to get the same result wich is removing the date but it still leaves “posted on” which looks bad.
you just have to go to admin–> dashboard—> settings —> general then look at your date format there should be a button that says custom in a box next to that should be dym in any order click the custom button delete dym and refresh your page not date posted .
Again that way will leave the “posted on ” just like his script did :-(

chinyelu December 8, 2011 at 3:12 pm

thanks! this worked effortlessly.
- can the timestamp icon and “Posted in: 4 Core Areas” (as an example) be removed as well?

thanks again and I look forward to your response! :)

chinyelu December 8, 2011 at 3:16 pm

Thanks- this plugin worked effortlessly!!!

Do you know how I can remove:
- the timestamp icon located in the post quad section in the bottom of my site?
- the “Posted in: 4 Core Areas” (example) in my site?

Thanks again and I look forward to your response. :)

Oozman December 8, 2011 at 4:35 pm

what is your site and the theme your using?

Ed December 9, 2011 at 5:32 am

Hey Oozman. Great plugin. I noticed something that you may want to fix though. On this page, the first bullet of your plugin description says “Once activated, it instantly remove all of your posts and pages.” I’m guessing you meant to say it will instantly remove the *date* from all your posts…..but as it is worded, it looks a little frightening. =)

Minor detail as I’m sure everyone can figure out what you meant, but I figured I’d give you a heads up.

Oozman December 9, 2011 at 7:15 am

Thanks for raising it up.. Didn’t see that.. Thanks Ed!

Marie Gronley MD December 30, 2011 at 5:32 pm

I tried the date exclusion plugin it seemed to work, my question is will either of these plugins remove the date for posts and pages that are already indexed by Google?

Oozman December 31, 2011 at 2:47 am

Yes, it will remove the date of all of the post whether it is indexed or not.

Marie Gronley MD December 30, 2011 at 5:50 pm

Oozman January 3, 2012 at 3:01 am

Marie Gronley MD January 31, 2012 at 9:20 pm

The plugin doesn’t seem to work with the Freelance theme; but did work with the Enterprise theme.

Oozman February 1, 2012 at 6:06 am

Maybe Freelance theme has different way of showing up the date… Which this plugin can’t target…

Mart March 14, 2012 at 8:06 am

I am interested to remove the dates from my wordpress blog but I need someone to help me do it? Can you help? How much do you charge? Thanks!

Friday January 2, 2013 at 5:14 am

Hi there Oozman,
I’m resending my comment as maybe it disappeared by accident.
I’ve downloaded your plugin, but I can still see the date.
I downloaded another and I can see the date.

I found in my dashboard that my Emimius 2.2 Theme has an option to remove Author, Time and Date so I clicked the NO option, but still see the date.

I deactivated the plugins and following Internet info took out some code in the Index php and Single.php page but can still see the date. I’ve since put them back and its seems to make no difference
Is there anything I overlooking please?

Oozman January 2, 2013 at 8:12 am

hi, what was your website again? and the theme? I think it’s not compatible with your theme, but I’m not sure.

Rose May 15, 2013 at 9:22 pm
